Scalpel with carbon steel blades

A good scalpel is essential for every (home) laboratory. They are extremely sharp and therefore perfect for precision work. For example, you need the scalpel to cut pieces of agar sterile for transfers.

The 10 surgical blades supplied are steered sterile. If you perform multiple transfers from AGAR, make sure that you heat the scalpel knife red -hot between each transfer to prevent contamination.
