Breeding instruction Toschifarm Growkit
Roadmap
- Disinfect your hands with soap or hand gel. Then disinfect the bucket and lid with a hot soil.
- Collect 100-150 grams of fresh coffee grounds (not older than a day). It must be black, lumpy and almost sticky. Not sticky enough? Then add a small dash of water.
- Crumble the contents of the bag and stir it through your coffee grounds. Divide the mixture evenly over the bottom and close the lid.
- Stick the holes with a adhesive plaster and set the grow kit in a place with half sun a temperature between 15 ° C and 23 ° C.
- After 3 to 5 days your coffee grounds are covered with a layer of white mold. Fill the bucket with a new layer and wait 3 to 5 days again.
- Keep repeat step 5 until the bucket is filled to the edge. Your oyster mushrooms are now starting to grow and come out of the holes!
- Pick them with a rotating movement or cut them as soon as the edge of the hats has risen well. Then wait for a second harvest.
- Empty the bucket until you have two layers of coffee grounds in the bucket and throw the rest away.
- Start the breeding process again from step 4.
Troubleshooter
-
Do you suffer from green fungus? Add a thin layer of coffee grounds, put the grow kit in a slightly warmer spot and wait a few days until white fungus grows over it.
-
Is your bucket full, but don't you get fungi? Then move the bucket to a cooler place. Tip: 24-48 hours in the fridge often helps very well! Then put them back in a light place at room temperature.
-
Do your fungi dry while growing? You can prevent this by spraying them with a plant sprayer with water every day.
